Casper Original Hybrid Mattress Review
Casper Sleep Original Hybrid Mattress, Queen
Translated with
As with all hybrid mattresses, one of the benefits of the Casper Original Hybrid mattress is that the spring layer adds breathability and helps promote airflow, so heat isn’t trapped like it is with memory foam-only mattresses. The top foam layer of this mattress also has perforations – small holes that add breathability. These two cooling features make this mattress ideal for hot sleepers or anyone who lives in a warm climate.
Casper does not offer a firmness rating for its mattresses, but professional reviewers say it feels like a medium. The pressure-reducing zoned support middle layer is softer at the shoulders and firmer at the hips, making it a good combination of giving and support. The mattress is a good choice for side sleepers, combination sleepers and those who like a soft feel, but it may be too plush for back and stomach sleepers.
The Casper Original Hybrid is 11 inches thick and consists of three main layers: two foam layers and a spring base layer that provides additional stability to prevent sinking. The base layer features coils individually wrapped in fabric to inhibit motion transfer and a foam perimeter to provide additional edge support, an advantage for those who tend to be drawn to the edge of the bed at night. The 2-inch middle layer provides zoned support, offering some support for pressure points such as the shoulders and proper support for the back and hips, while the 2-inch top layer is perforated to enhance airflow.
Casper Original Foam Mattress Review
Casper Sleep Original Foam Mattress, Queen
The top layer of the mattress is perforated memory foam and the middle is zoned memory foam that is divided into three different sections. The outer section is softer to take pressure off your shoulders when sleeping on your side, while the middle section is firmer to prevent sinking and provide more support for your hips, lower back and lower back.
The Original Foam Mattress is suitable for several different sleeper types, as well as combination sleepers and couples who sleep in different positions. Professional reviewers say that unlike other all-foam mattresses, it responds well and adapts quickly to movement, which is important for people who tend to switch positions throughout the night.
Because the Casper Original foam mattress is all-foam, it can absorb heat. Although it has perforations in the top layer to help promote airflow and increase breathability compared to other memory foam mattresses, professional reviewers say it still sleeps a little hot. If you tend to overheat at night, you may sleep better on a Casper Original hybrid mattress. Because they have springs that allow more airflow, hybrid mattresses typically sleep cooler than memory foam-only options.
The all-foam construction does provide better motion isolation due to the lack of elastic springs. This makes this mattress a good choice for couples who don’t want to be awakened by their partner’s movements.
